Udaipur is primarily known as the “City of Lakes.” It was founded by Udai Singh in 1559 Udai Singh II who was of the Sisodia clan of Rajput. He decided to change the capital city to Udaipur from Chittorgarh. This city was besieged by Akbar. Udaipur is located in the southernmost part of Rajasthan, near the border of Gujarat. Surrounded by the Aravalli Range and separated by the Thar Desert. Nearly 660km away from Delhi and 800km away from Mumbai.
